The storm blows over

The storm has blown over and we have picked up the pieces

Retrieving love from the deluge...

The waters swept over our idyllic life...

The waves claiming everything we once held dear...

The current pulled us apart, as tidal reality stormed through the bulwarks....

And now, standing on this flood ravaged land, with your hand still in mine...

I slip into an uneasy calm...

The waters have claimed a part of me, an unseen part....

Life goes on, but there's a void where a mighty edifice of faith stood...

I look at the calm waters and know that the tide can rise again, as inexorable as ever...

I know I am no match for those mighty waves...

I know that reality is relative....

and I know that the gaping void is mine to fill...

The Lamb

I tried to wander over the mountains and grasslands of life…

But you took my face in your hands and chained me with your eyes…

I gave myself to you then, a lamb on the sacrificial altar…

Why should I weep now that you have pierced your dagger into my heart?

You are my God and I am your offering…

The blood from my heart washes your feet…

I am no one to cry out…

Because I am an offering and you are my God…

Fly high, dive deep

My love, I want to see you soar…

I want to see you float among the clouds and dive for pearls in the deep…

I know you long for another pair of eyes…

But my heart is not your prison…

I would colour your rose with my blood,

So you could shower the petals on the one you lost…

You yearn and I yearn with you…

Because my heart dances to the beat of yours…

Who are you?

Those eyes I have been looking into for years…

They still shine with that ageless light…

But now, that light is too blinding…

I falter…

I don’t know where to step, lines have blurred

Lovers, strangers, friends, enemies are all rolled into one…

Is this love? Or is this pain…or are they the same?
